We are incredibly proud to present a unique and highly functional piece of upcycled 1930s Art Deco design. What may initially look like a standard display case is actually a sophisticated micro-architectural marvel divided into three distinct, functional zones. Exceptional Design & Craftsmanship. This piece was expertly upcycled in our workshop from a high-end pre-war furniture section. The layout is truly remarkable: The Central Zone: A classic display area with a glass shelf, enclosed by smooth-gliding sliding glass doors. The back wall features beautifully book-matched European walnut veneer. The Side Zones (The Highlight): The gracefully curved corners of this cabinet are not fixed glass. They are independent, hinged doors constructed from multiple vertical glass slats. Furthermore, each of these curved slatted doors features its own working lock and key. This level of intricate carpentry and glasswork is exceedingly rare and signifies top-tier 1930s craftsmanship. Uncompromising Quality & Versatility. With a depth of only 26 cm, this cabinet is the ultimate space-saver. It « hugs » the wall, making it a perfect floating display case for modern apartments, suitable to hang above a sofa, television, or in a hallway. To ensure perfection from every angle, we completely veneered the underside of the cabinet with premium walnut. It looks luxurious even when hung high above eye level. Restoration and Finish. The cabinet has undergone a comprehensive restoration. All old varnishes were stripped down to the bare wood. The piece was then finished with premium hard wax oil. This provides a natural, satin-matte touch that highlights the beautiful grain and protects the surface against moisture and daily use.
